ADOC (AsciiDoc) Format Guide
Powerful markup language for technical documentation, books, and articles
About AsciiDoc Format
AsciiDoc (ADOC) is a lightweight markup language for authoring notes, articles, documentation, books, web pages, slide decks, and man pages. It was created by Stuart Rackham in 2002 as a more powerful alternative to Markdown, with features like automatic table of contents, cross-references, admonitions (notes, warnings, tips), and support for complex document structures.
AsciiDoc is widely used for technical documentation, software manuals, API documentation, and book authoring. It supports single-source publishing, allowing you to create multiple output formats (HTML, PDF, EPUB, DOCX, etc.) from a single source file.
